Gu Yukun, the CEO of Great Wall Motors' Tank brand, has officially announced that the Tank 300, now featuring front and rear solid axle configurations, has been christened the Tank 300 Hooke Trail. This new variant is slated for launch prior to National Day. Replacing the front double-wishbone independent suspension found in the standard version, this model boasts a solid axle non-independent suspension, resulting in a front and rear dual solid axle chassis setup. Designed to accommodate 40-inch off-road tires, this vehicle is an OEM offering. Before its official release, the Tank 300 Hooke Trail will be handed over to professional off-road enthusiasts for rigorous real-world testing, aimed at pushing its off-road capabilities to the limit and assessing its modification potential.

The Tank 300 Hooke Trail comes equipped with exclusive off-road accessories, including distinctive badges on the hood and sides of the vehicle, black lower body cladding, a snorkel for deep water fording, and a towing device. Moreover, a passive night vision system is available as an optional feature. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4886mm in length, 1984mm in width, and 1960mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3010mm. It boasts an approach angle of 41°, a departure angle ranging from 34° to 36°, and is fitted with 265x70 R18 tires. Powertrain options include a 2.0T and a 3.0T engine, delivering maximum outputs of 175kW and 265kW, respectively. The chassis features a front and rear solid axle structure, reinforced components, and is expected to have a larger final drive ratio, significantly boosting its climbing prowess.
