Recently, BMW officially launched the Chinese version of its next-generation iX3, featuring three distinct configuration options, each with unique battery solutions. The entry-level 30L model is equipped with square lithium iron phosphate cells. In contrast, the mid-range 40L and top-tier 50L versions both utilize large cylindrical 46-series batteries. Notably, the 50L model exclusively sources its batteries from EVE Energy. The iX3, when fitted with this particular battery, achieves a CLTC range exceeding 900 kilometers, and real-world tests have even surpassed the 1,000-kilometer milestone. At present, EVE Energy has solidified its position as BMW's largest battery supplier. The company's Hungarian factory has made a substantial investment of approximately RMB 9.917 billion, with a dedicated focus on manufacturing large cylindrical 46-series batteries.
