Earlier reports surfaced suggesting that, during a BYD conference call, company executives disclosed an estimated backlog of 250,000 orders for vehicles equipped with flash-charging capabilities. These reports also indicated that BYD anticipated having adequate production capacity to meet demand by the first quarter of 2027. However, on September 8, BYD issued a clarification, refuting these claims as inaccurate. The company had indeed introduced its second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology back in March of this year. While production capacity has been constrained due to ongoing efforts to construct or upgrade production lines, BYD did not provide any specific figures regarding order backlogs.
