On September 8, BYD issued a clear denial in response to online rumors stating that, during a conference call, the company had revealed it had 250,000 pending orders for vehicles equipped with flash-charging technology, and that production capacity would meet demand by the first quarter of 2027. BYD emphasized that these claims were false. Earlier in March of this year, BYD unveiled its second-generation blade battery technology alongside its flash-charging technology. However, due to ongoing production line construction and upgrades, there has been a temporary shortfall in production capacity, resulting in delays in the delivery of relevant vehicle models. Presently, BYD is actively working to ramp up production of its second-generation blade batteries and expedite the establishment of flash-charging stations.
