The Stellantis Group is presently engaged in discussions regarding a long-term industrial partnership that would involve its Maserati brand, in collaboration with Huawei and JAC Motors. The trio aims to integrate Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility platform into Maserati vehicles, with the ambition of rolling out their first jointly developed mass-produced car by the end of 2027. This vehicle might adopt a dual-brand approach, displaying the JAC Exeed logo in the Chinese market while retaining the Maserati emblem for global audiences. In response to these rumors, Stellantis Group has chosen to remain tight-lipped, declining to provide any official comment. However, it did highlight that it maintains constant communication with its industry partners. Maserati’s future strategies and plans are set to be disclosed at the upcoming Investor Day in Modena, Italy, this December. Currently, Maserati is grappling with operational challenges, with projections indicating that its global shipments could dip below 8,000 units in 2025, accompanied by an adjusted operating loss of €198 million. Stellantis’ CEO has hinted that production collaborations, including those involving Maserati, form a cornerstone of the group’s fresh long-term strategy and are anticipated to yield positive effects on the output capacity of relevant factories in Italy.
