Anthropic's Claude iOS application is now compatible with Apple CarPlay, enabling users to engage in voice conversations with the AI assistant through the vehicle's infotainment system, facilitating hands-free operation. However, the app currently does not support controlling the vehicle or other functions of the iPhone. Given that CarPlay does not yet support third-party wake words, users need to manually launch the app before initiating voice conversations. Once inside the app, users can start new conversations or review recent conversation history, with relevant control options and visual cues available during interactions. Currently, Apple CarPlay supports numerous third-party AI applications, including ChatGPT.
