On Friday, French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot revealed that France has already begun testing Tesla’s Full Self-Driving vehicles, in anticipation of Europe’s decision in October regarding the approval of this advanced technology. Tabarot emphasized that the primary goal of these tests is to elevate safety standards and diminish the frequency of traffic accidents, as the technology holds the promise of substantial enhancements in various domains. He also touched upon concerns related to vehicle speed and drivers’ mobile phone usage while driving. Furthermore, earlier this week, Tabarot engaged in discussions with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
