On September 4, it was reported that due to the impact of the Iran war, gasoline prices have surged and supply has tightened, leading to increased attention on alternative fuels. Against this backdrop, Toyota Motor Corporation is considering using hydrogen to power trucks transporting automotive parts. Toyota's Vice Chairman stated that using hydrogen in the supplier logistics network is also a viable option. This plan by Toyota is part of its commitment as a member of the Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A), which aims to apply hydrogen energy to 1% of all logistics, fuel, and raw material transportation. As of last month, 67 companies and institutions have participated in this initiative, including banks, trading companies, insurance firms, and local governments, indicating strong momentum for hydrogen energy applications.
