Data released on Wednesday revealed that Kia's sales in the US market soared to a record high in August, with a total of 83,793 units sold, representing a 1% year-on-year increase. Moreover, the cumulative sales for the first eight months of the year also hit an all-time high for the same period, reaching 590,377 units, which is a 3% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, the Sportage SUV model emerged as the top seller, with sales reaching 18,723 units. In contrast, Hyundai's US sales experienced a 2% year-on-year decrease in August, totaling 86,977 units. This decline occurred despite a significant 33% year-on-year surge in sales of its hybrid models, which set a record high for the same month.
