Ford China’s Pioneering Pure Electric Commercial Vehicle, Bound for Europe and Beyond, Enters Mass Production

On August 31, the all-new Ford Transit City® officially kicked off mass production and rolled off the assembly line at Jiangling Motors’ Xiaolan Plant. The inaugural batch, comprising approximately 1,000 units, is earmarked for shipment to international markets. As Ford China’s inaugural pure electric commercial vehicle slated for export to sophisticated markets like Europe, this new model boasts a 56 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and an 110 kW front-mounted motor, delivering a maximum driving range of up to 254 kilometers under WLTP testing conditions. The vehicle is set to open for orders in the European market in the second quarter of 2026, with the first deliveries to local customers anticipated by the year’s end.
