BYD is slated to host the grand inauguration ceremony for its milestone 10,000th flash charging station at 9:00 AM on August 28, 2026, in Longhua, Shenzhen. As of July this year, BYD has successfully constructed over 7,000 flash charging stations across 325 cities throughout the country, with an ambitious target of reaching 20,000 stations by the end of 2026. In March of this year, BYD introduced a cutting-edge flash charging pile (Note: While "pile" may be a direct translation, in this context, "pole" or "station" could be more appropriate; however, the original term is retained for accuracy). This charging pile boasts a maximum single-gun power output of 1,500KW. When used in conjunction with BYD's second-generation blade battery, it delivers ultra-fast charging capabilities, replenishing the battery from 10% to 70% in a mere 5 minutes and up to a remarkable 97% in just 9 minutes. Moreover, it effectively addresses the challenges associated with low-temperature charging. Furthermore, BYD has launched its comprehensive Flash Charging China Strategy, with the aim of constructing 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of this year. This strategic initiative includes the establishment of 18,000 urban stations and 2,000 highway stations, thereby enhancing the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle charging across the nation.
