On August 24, 2026, Times Electric Service, a subsidiary of CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Kun Development New Energy, a state-owned enterprise under the purview of Kunming City. The collaboration is set to focus on the joint construction of 100 chocolate battery swap stations. According to the agreement, Kun Development will undertake the responsibility for infrastructure investment, whereas Times Electric Service will oversee the operational aspects. Through the innovative model of "state-owned capital holding coupled with chocolate battery swap operations," both parties aim to pioneer a new approach for the collaborative development of new energy infrastructure.
