On August 24, Contemporary Electric Service, a subsidiary of CATL, inked a strategic cooperation pact with Kunming Development New Energy, a state-owned enterprise directly under the Kunming municipal government. Their joint mission is to construct 100 chocolate battery swap stations. The two sides have embraced a government-enterprise cooperation framework. In this setup, Kunming Development takes charge of infrastructure investment, while Contemporary Electric Service is tasked with station operations. This partnership underscores the state-owned capital's enduring confidence in the new battery swap infrastructure.
