At an industry press conference, Dou Huijuan, the Deputy General Manager of FAW Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd., remarked that the automotive sector is currently witnessing an accelerated pace of new product introductions. However, this surge is accompanied by diminishing market returns, a scarcity of blockbuster models, and notably short sales cycles for the majority of vehicles. The industry finds itself ensnared in a detrimental cycle that prioritizes speed over thorough validation and short-term gains over long-term quality. This situation is exacerbated by an overabundance of marketing strategies and a severe lack of product differentiation, leaving consumers bewildered in their choices.

Amidst the tide of intelligence and electrification, FAW Toyota is committed to a path of steady and sustainable development. The company places paramount importance on user reliability and safety, steering clear of the temptation to hastily launch vehicles solely for the sake of speed. During the event, FAW Toyota unveiled its all-electric mid-size SUV, the 2027 bZ5, marking its official debut.

The vehicle maintains its existing design philosophy while being equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack developed by BYD, utilizing BYD's cutting-edge Blade Battery technology. It is powered by a motor boasting a maximum output of 200kW, delivering a CLTC range of 550-630 kilometers. This model refresh primarily focuses on enhancing the intelligent driving capabilities, further refining the intelligent driving system and range performance based on the current Momenta Flywheel Large Model 5.0 system, thereby elevating the overall configuration of the vehicle.
