Vehicles powered by these batteries are anticipated to offer a driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers and a lifespan of over 1 million kilometers. Furthermore, they are expected to outperform traditional liquid batteries in safety, weight reduction, and charge-discharge efficiency. Nevertheless, the large-scale production of solid-state batteries remains a formidable challenge. The 2027 pilot program will involve only limited-scale testing, meaning that consumers are unlikely to see mass-produced models in the near future. The exact timeline for broader implementation will hinge on the maturity of the industrial supply chain.
