According to Carscoops, two electric vehicles—the AUDI E5 Sportback and E7X—which were specifically tailored by Audi and SAIC for the Chinese market, have recently made their way into the German market through parallel importer Auto China. Despite the price doubling to cover expenses such as freight and certification, these cars are still notably less expensive than Audi's comparable electric models available in Germany. Take the E5 Sportback as an illustration: it boasts a dual-motor system with a maximum power output of 776 horsepower and a 100kWh battery. Priced at approximately 40,000 euros, it undercuts the Audi S6 Sportback e-tron, produced in Europe, by 28,000 euros. After being transported to Europe, registered, and factoring in VAT, the starting price of the E7X is around 86,800 euros, making it roughly 7,000 euros cheaper than the smaller and less powerful Audi SQ6 e-tron.
