BYD’s latest flagship sedan, the Da Han EV, made its official debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, featuring three trim levels priced from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan. As the inaugural D-segment large executive sedan under BYD’s Dynasty series, the Da Han EV is designed to impress with its impressive dimensions: a body size of 5256mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1510mm in height, coupled with a wheelbase of 3130mm. This makes it an ideal choice for the high-end business market.
Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by a luxurious interior. The cabin is adorned with extensive leather upholstery, a stylish two-tone steering wheel, and diamond-patterned perforated seats that exude sophistication. The vehicle also boasts a full-LCD instrument panel, an AR-HUD head-up display, and multiple screens, ensuring a seamless and immersive driving experience. Additionally, both the front and rear seats come equipped with electric leg rests, enhancing passenger comfort.
When it comes to the chassis, the Da Han EV doesn’t disappoint. It features a front double-wishbone and rear five-link all-aluminum suspension, ensuring superior handling and ride quality. Standard high-grip quiet tires and a rear-wheel steering system with a maximum turning angle of 7° contribute to a remarkably tight turning radius of just 5.4 meters.
Under the hood, the all-electric Da Han EV is powered by a 102.326kWh second-generation Blade Battery across all trim levels. The rear-wheel-drive long-range version offers an impressive CLTC range of up to 1008km, with a single-motor peak power of 370kW and a top speed of 240km/h. For those seeking even more performance, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive high-performance version delivers a combined power output of up to 570kW. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 2.9 seconds, reach a top speed of 270km/h, and still offer a respectable CLTC range of 880km.
