On August 19th, reports emerged that Bosch’s fourth-generation multi-function camera (MPC4), which is developed leveraging the Horizon Journey 6B chip, has officially secured approval for large-scale mass production. Currently, this platform has been approved for use in over 40 vehicle models, with a total order volume surging to tens of millions of units. The first project to utilize this platform is set to enter mass production in the third quarter of 2026, with subsequent production launches planned for multiple vehicle projects across both China and international markets. Earlier in May of this year, the Horizon Journey 6B chip itself achieved mass production status alongside the GAC Toyota bZ3X model. Leading Tier 1 suppliers, including Bosch, Denso, and Omron, are actively developing assisted driving solutions based on this innovative chip.
