According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China’s automotive export sector maintained its robust upward trajectory in July. Official statistics reveal that vehicle exports hit 1.043 million units for the month, marking a 0.6% month-on-month increase and an impressive 81.3% year-on-year surge. Breaking down the figures, new energy vehicle (NEV) exports reached 553,000 units, reflecting a 5.7% sequential rise and a staggering 145.5% annual growth. Notably, following two consecutive months of exports exceeding 900,000 units in April and May, China’s automotive shipments scaled new heights in June and July, surpassing the 1 million-unit threshold for the first time in back-to-back months. Concurrently, NEVs have accounted for over 50% of total vehicle exports for two months running, underscoring their pivotal role in driving China’s global automotive expansion.
