SAIC Volkswagen has officially kicked off the pre-sales of its ID. ERA 5S model, presenting consumers with a choice of four distinct trim levels: Pure, Neo, Pro, and Max. The special limited-time pricing for this campaign spans from 115,900 to 145,900 yuan. During the pre-sale phase, customers have the opportunity to make a deposit of 1,000 yuan, which will be deducted from the final vehicle purchase price, offering a saving of 5,000 yuan. The grand official launch of the car is scheduled to take place at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21.

As the inaugural sedan within the ID. ERA series, the ID. ERA 5S boasts a plug-in hybrid system across all its trim levels. This system ensures an impressive fuel consumption rate of just 2.82 liters per 100 kilometers under CLTC conditions, coupled with a comprehensive driving range that surpasses 2,000 kilometers.

In terms of configuration options, the Max version stands out with its "Xingyun Zhixing" (Cloud-Moving Intelligence) assisted driving system, which supports both urban and highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functionalities. The Pro version, on the other hand, focuses on enhancing passenger comfort, featuring amenities such as front-seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions, along with rear-seat heating. The Neo version prioritizes safety, incorporating features like a 540-degree panoramic view and sentry mode. Lastly, the Pure version comes equipped with fundamental configurations, including independent front and rear suspensions and a 15.6-inch central control screen, ensuring a solid foundation for a pleasurable driving experience.
