CPCA: July Sees 918,000 Passenger Vehicles Exported, Marking an 87.8% Year-on-Year Surge

On August 11, data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed that passenger vehicle exports (encompassing both complete vehicles and CKD kits) soared to 918,000 units in July. This figure represents a significant 87.8% increase year-on-year and a 4.9% rise month-on-month, constituting 41% of the total sales by passenger vehicle manufacturers. This proportion surpasses the 37% recorded in the previous month and the 21% seen during the same period in 2025. Notably, new energy vehicles made up 58.8% of the total exports, experiencing a 14-percentage-point increase year-on-year. In terms of brand categories, independent brands exported 775,000 vehicles, marking an 87% year-on-year growth; while joint venture and luxury brands exported 143,000 vehicles, achieving a remarkable 108% year-on-year increase.
