The China Automobile Dealers Association has unveiled the survey findings for its "Automobile Dealer Inventory" report for July 2026. The data indicates that the overall inventory coefficient for auto dealers in July stood at 1.48, marking a 6.3% decrease from the previous month and a 9.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Drawing on statistics from the Passenger Car Market Information Linkage Branch, it was observed that 1.506 million passenger cars were sold across the country in July. Utilizing this figure as a basis for estimation, the inventory of automobiles held by dealers at the conclusion of July approximated 2.2 million units, showcasing a general reduction in channel inventory when juxtaposed with the figures from the end of June.
