On August 10th, following several rounds of verification, news emerged that EVE Energy is set to adjust the prices of certain battery products sold domestically, effective from September 1st. This adjustment entails adding a 2% consumption tax to the original tax-exclusive supply price. It has been reported that this price revision primarily concerns lithium primary batteries and lithium-ion batteries. An insider at EVE Energy disclosed that downstream customers across the three major business sectors—consumer batteries, power batteries, and energy storage batteries—will all feel the impact to varying extents. Nevertheless, when questioned about whether these price increases would influence subsequent orders or market share, the insider refuted such concerns. They clarified that the company's current order volume surpasses its existing production capacity, and the price adjustment is generally not a sensitive issue, with only a minimal anticipated effect on customers. Industry experts suggested that automakers might subsequently raise prices at the consumer level, but it is improbable that they would transfer the entire additional cost burden onto consumers.
