From January to July 2026, China’s automobile exports witnessed explosive growth, with a cumulative total of 6.4 million vehicles shipped overseas—a remarkable 54% increase year-on-year. In July alone, exports reached 1.092 million units, up 57% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month. The total export value soared to USD 110.8 billion, marking a 55% year-on-year rise, with July contributing USD 19 billion, a 60% year-on-year spike and a 4% month-on-month increase. Notably, the growth rate of export value outpaced that of volume, reflecting a rise in the average price per vehicle. This shift underscores China’s transition from scaling up automobile exports to enhancing their value. During the same period, auto parts exports totaled USD 60.7 billion, an 8% year-on-year increase, with July’s exports reaching USD 9.38 billion, up 14% year-on-year but down 4% month-on-month. China’s automotive industry has established a dual-track pattern: auto parts are deeply penetrating European and U.S. markets, while finished vehicles are radiating globally. This collaborative approach across the industrial chain has significantly bolstered the sector’s global competitiveness. Furthermore, automobile and auto parts exports in 2026 have far surpassed the levels recorded during the same periods from 2022 to 2025, breaking free from the export patterns observed in some previous months.
