At the recent Farnborough International Airshow, this optical powerhouse—boasting a legacy spanning over 180 years—highlighted its latest innovations in aeronautical holographic technology, encompassing transparent display systems and advanced head-up displays (HUDs). The transparent display system leverages bespoke microstructured optical films and diffractive waveguide technology to seamlessly integrate digital information onto transparent surfaces like cabin windows and sunshades. This allows for real-time overlay of flight data, entertainment options, and crew interaction guidelines. The next-gen HUD module adopts a dual-focal-plane architecture, projecting navigation symbols and alerts either in front of or behind the pilot's focal point, thereby minimizing the need for frequent visual focus adjustments.
