Based on data aggregated by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) from the General Administration of Customs, in June 2026, the overall import and export volume of automotive products soared to US$31.82 billion, reflecting an 8.0% increase from the previous month and a substantial 35.5% rise year-on-year. Specifically, the import value stood at US$3.39 billion, experiencing a 6.1% decline month-on-month and an 18.7% decrease year-on-year. Conversely, the export value skyrocketed to US$28.43 billion, with a 10.0% uptick month-on-month and an impressive 47.2% jump year-on-year. Looking at the cumulative figures from January to June, the nationwide total import and export volume of automotive products reached US$164.74 billion, up by 25.5% compared to the same period last year. Within this, the cumulative import value was US$19.25 billion, showing an 11.8% decrease year-on-year, while the cumulative export value hit US$145.49 billion, climbing 33.0% year-on-year.
