According to Automotive, citing data from Dataforce, Chinese brands held a mere 0.5% market share in Europe (including EU countries, the UK, and EFTA nations) in 2021. By the first half of 2026, this figure had surged to 9.5%. During this period, the market share of European domestic brands declined from 71.9% to 64.7%. Starting from nearly zero, Chinese brands have successfully captured a significant portion of the market.
