From August 1st onwards, the State Administration for Market Regulation (CNCA) will initiate the enforcement of mandatory product certification, known as CCC certification, for electric vehicle supply equipment, widely referred to as charging piles. This certification process is designed to uphold product quality and safety standards. It involves rigorous testing of critical safety aspects, including protection against electric shock, short-circuit prevention, and fire resistance. Additionally, it encompasses thorough inspections of the company's on-site quality assurance capabilities and the consistency of its products.

With the burgeoning popularity of new energy vehicles across China, charging piles have emerged as a vital infrastructure component, catering to the public's travel requirements. As of August 1st, charging piles that lack CCC certification will be prohibited from leaving the factory, being sold, imported, or utilized in any other business endeavors. For equipment already in service prior to August 1st, operators are mandated to adhere to pertinent laws and regulations, ensuring that the products or services provided meet the necessary standards for safeguarding personal and property safety.
