Recently, a Tesla owner in the United States took to social media to voice a complaint: his car, equipped with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, abruptly slammed on the brakes at a green light intersection. This sudden halt sent the bag and lunch placed on the passenger seat flying. The incident occurred while the vehicle was cruising at a speed of around 80 kilometers per hour. The FSD system, upon detecting the shape of an ambulance—which was not on an emergency call and had not activated its siren—initiated an emergency stop. The owner was utilizing FSD version 14.3.5, a version that, according to previous reports from other Tesla users, has been associated with instances of 'hallucinations' (misidentifying objects) and 'phantom braking' (unnecessary braking).
