Jin Yuzhi, Senior Vice President of Huawei and CEO of Yinwang Company, announced today that autonomous driving technology is poised for accelerated growth. After conducting trials of L3 autonomous driving in specific cities, it is expected that trials for low-speed L4 autonomous driving in urban settings will begin in 2026. By 2027, L3 autonomous driving is projected to reach mass commercialization. Concurrently, L4 2B (encompassing Robotaxi trials in certain cities) and L4 2C (featuring low-speed L4 commercialization in designated urban areas) will also be rolled out. By 2028, Robotaxi services are anticipated to become commercially viable in select cities, accompanied by the mass commercialization of low-speed L4 autonomous driving in urban regions, trials of full-speed L4 in specific cities, and the commencement of pilot programs for unmanned trunk logistics.
