36Kr has obtained exclusive information indicating that NVIDIA’s Autonomous Driving Team has recently circulated an internal memo revealing that Dheeraj Ahuja, previously the Vice President of Autonomous Driving Engineering at Qualcomm, is slated to become a member of the team helmed by Xinzhou Wu. Concurrently, Sarah Tariq, NVIDIA’s former Vice President of Autonomous Driving Software, who was in charge of mass production projects, is entering a transitional phase and has already distributed a farewell message. Notably, both Dheeraj Ahuja and Xinzhou Wu share a background of having worked at Qualcomm. For more than seven years, Dheeraj has overseen Qualcomm’s autonomous driving initiatives. Between late 2021 and 2022, Qualcomm outperformed both NVIDIA and Mobileye, clinching orders for BMW’s next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving platform, with Dheeraj directly leading the engineering efforts for this project.
