In June 2026, China’s auto exports soared to 1.06 million units, hitting an all-time high and marking a substantial year-on-year increase of 71.2%. According to projections by consulting firm AlixPartners, if this export momentum continues, China’s auto exports are expected to exceed 10 million units in 2026. This would represent a significant jump from the 7.1 million units exported in 2025 and the 4.9 million units in 2023, potentially making it the highest annual auto export volume ever recorded for a single country in human history.
