On July 3rd, news emerged that Shanghai has recently initiated a targeted campaign aimed at regulating the dissemination of online information within the automotive industry. On the afternoon of July 2, the Cyberspace Administration of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, in partnership with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and the Cybersecurity Division of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, organized a quadrilateral symposium. This symposium, which involved the government, industry associations, automobile enterprises, and online platforms, sought to explore collaborative strategies for governance.

During the symposium, representatives from platforms such as Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, Hupu, Douyin, and Baidu shared their approaches to content review within the automotive sector and their methods for addressing infringement information related to enterprises. Meanwhile, delegates from the Shanghai Automotive Components Industry Association and prominent automobile companies, including SAIC Motor, BYD, Tesla, NIO, XPeng, Li Auto, and Lexus, offered their insights and recommendations on combating industry-wide issues and protecting corporate rights.
