Recently, a tragic incident unfolded in Katy, Texas, USA, when a Tesla vehicle collided with a residential building. The Tesla Model 3, traveling at an estimated speed of 117 kilometers per hour, plowed into the home, causing the death of a 76-year-old woman and injuring her son-in-law. The driver asserted that they were utilizing the Autopilot feature at the moment of the crash. However, Tesla's head of AI countered this claim, stating that the driver had deactivated Autopilot and had abruptly pressed the accelerator.
