At the China launch event of the Xpeng MONA L03, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of Xpeng Group, addressed and refuted recent rumors, clarifying that Juanma López, the former Ferrari designer, has not resigned and continues to serve at Xpeng. The MONA L03 represents Juanma’s first major project since joining Xpeng, a project he led and co-created alongside a global design team hailing from 23 different countries.
Juanma joined Xpeng Motors in 2024 as Vice President of the Styling Design Center, where he oversees both the management and design direction of the center. Prior to his tenure at Xpeng, he spent eight years at Ferrari as the Head of Exterior Design, playing a pivotal role in the research and development of several iconic models, including the legendary Ferrari LaFerrari.
