BYD is poised to introduce its independently developed intelligent driving chip, the Xuanji A3, in mass-produced vehicles under the Denza brand next year. According to official sources, this 4nm chip boasts a computing capacity exceeding 700 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) per chip, with a combined computing power surpassing 2100 TOPS when three chips are utilized concurrently. It is designed to support Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities and has already entered mass production. In unveiling the chip, BYD also highlighted the significance of 'hardware-software integration,' a term frequently echoed within the new energy vehicle sector. The company stated that the Xuanji A3 exhibits a 20% reduction in power consumption per unit of computing power compared to similar products on the market. Furthermore, after optimization with BYD’s proprietary algorithms, the utilization efficiency of computing power can be doubled.
