On June 29, NIO's official account, 'NIO Little Speaker', issued a statement in response to feedback from NIO ES9 owners about paint surface damage resulting from close-range cleaning with a high-pressure water gun. The statement revealed that NIO had been in communication with the affected owners and had provided on-site explanations. According to NIO, the injection-molded components of the ES9's front bumper are manufactured by top-tier industry suppliers. The paint film thickness and adhesion of these components comply with corporate standards that are even more stringent than international benchmarks. Furthermore, the company conducts monthly scratch and high-pressure water jet tests to ensure quality.
