Since the commencement of deliveries on May 28, 2026, the flagship NIO ES9 SUV has reached a significant milestone by delivering its 10,000th new vehicle in just 30 days. This achievement sets the fastest record in China’s passenger vehicle market for a premium pure electric model priced at the 500,000-yuan level to exceed 10,000 deliveries. The NIO ES9 was officially launched on May 27, with a purchase price range of 498,000 to 628,000 yuan for the complete vehicle. A battery-leasing option is also available, priced between 390,000 and 520,000 yuan.

The NIO ES9 stands out with its massive dimensions, measuring 5,365mm in length, 2,029mm in width, and 1,870mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250mm. These measurements earn it the title of China’s largest full-size pure electric SUV in terms of volume. Inside, the vehicle features a six-layer dynamic ambient lighting design, complemented by three Tandem dual-layer AMOLED screens: a 15.6-inch central control screen and two dedicated 16-inch executive screens. The central control screen boasts a resolution of 3K, while the executive screens offer a resolution of 3.3K, supporting a 100% P3 color gamut for vibrant visuals.

The NIO ES9 is also equipped with the world’s first 5nm automotive-grade flagship intelligent driving chip—the NIO Thor NX9031—ensuring cutting-edge performance and safety. In terms of power, the vehicle adopts the latest generation full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, delivering a peak power output of 520kW and a peak torque of 700N·m. It is fitted with a self-developed high-performance six-piston braking caliper, achieving a remarkable braking distance of just 35.3 meters from 100-0 km/h.

The vehicle comes standard with a 102kWh long-range battery, offering a CLTC combined range of up to 620km, making it ideal for long-distance travel. Additionally, the NIO ES9 features China’s only mass-produced and delivered steer-by-wire steering system, the Tianxing intelligent chassis with full-active suspension, and comes standard with rear-wheel steering. This combination enables a turning radius of just 5.4 meters, enhancing maneuverability in tight spaces.
