On Thursday (local time), Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar disclosed that its 2027 and later models will be barred from the U.S. market. This decision comes after the U.S. Department of Commerce rejected the company's application for federal regulatory approval. In response to this development, Polestar's stock price experienced a 4.5% decline. Despite this setback, Polestar intends to continue clearing its existing inventory, maintain customer support services, and pivot its strategic focus towards Europe. Additionally, the company plans to ramp up investments in markets such as Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
