Today (the 23rd), the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in conjunction with the General Office of the Ministry of Public Security, has issued a joint notice announcing the real-time sharing of motor vehicle qualification certificate data. Henceforth, domestically manufactured passenger vehicles will be entitled to the streamlined service of 'purchasing, taxing, and registering on the same day'. Under this innovative framework, qualification certificate data is exchanged "instantaneously" between the industry and public security sectors, substantially enhancing the efficiency of vehicle acquisition and registration processes. Moreover, the two departments have broadened the scope of shared information, refined the sharing mechanism, introduced a standardized upload portal for businesses, minimized the number of standard vehicle photographs needed, abolished the necessity for paper-based documentation, and reduced operational expenses for enterprises. It is projected that over 20 million vehicles will reap the benefits annually.
