ECARX Technology Holding has formally declared the execution of a conclusive acquisition contract, whereby it will purchase the Flyme software business for a sum of RMB 1.8 billion. This transaction encompasses the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit operating system, along with the cross-terminal Flyme operating system. The acquisition will be consummated through the acquisition of pertinent business operations and core assets from Hubei Qiguang Technology Co., Ltd. (a spin-off entity of the StarRME Group), which include two pivotal software platforms, intellectual property rights, and the dedicated R&D team. Presently, Flyme has already established a robust business model and is projected to attain profitability by the year 2026.
