On June 17 local time, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) reached a settlement with German automotive parts giant Bosch. Bosch agreed to pay a civil penalty of approximately $36.1847 million (about RMB 245 million) and return more than $11.43 million in pre-tax profits to resolve allegations of illegally exporting controlled products to Huawei and its affiliated companies, which are on the U.S. trade blacklist.
