On June 11, inspection, testing, and certification were highlighted as pivotal drivers for industrial upgrading. The Guangzhou Market Supervision Bureau announced on the same day that Guangzhou is proactively directing inspection and testing institutions to bolster their capabilities and drive technological advancements, with a particular focus on strategic emerging sectors such as intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), new energy storage, the low-altitude economy, semiconductors, and integrated circuits. In the automotive domain, Guangzhou has empowered local vehicle manufacturers to achieve fully localized chip design, encompassing seven major domain control systems, 382 products, and 1,004 chips across entire vehicles—representing a 100% localized design rate. This milestone underscores substantial progress in achieving autonomous control over core components for ICVs. Additionally, approval has been granted for the establishment of national quality inspection centers specializing in digital sensing and control products for new power systems and ICVs.
