Lei Jun, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, has revealed that an epic live broadcast is on the horizon. On June 13 at 9 a.m., the Xiaomi YU7 will undergo eight rigorous test challenges at the Jiangsu Yancheng Test Site. There's a possibility that Lei Jun himself will step into the driver's seat for these tests, with the cross-axis test for the standard version already set in stone.

This upcoming testing marathon will feature two distinct models: the YU7 standard version and the YU7 GT. The entire event will be divided into eight segments, but here's the kicker - it will all be captured in one continuous, uninterrupted shot, giving viewers a seamless and immersive experience.

The Jiangsu Yancheng Test Site is no ordinary location. It's a comprehensive vehicle testing ground operated under the auspices of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. Xiaomi Auto has a history of pushing the limits at this facility, having previously conducted extreme tests such as a grueling 24-hour endurance challenge. Take, for example, the new-generation SU7 Max. In January 2026, this vehicle completed an astonishing 4,264 kilometers in a 24-hour endurance race. This feat included non-stop driving at a blistering 240 km/h and an incredible 44 charging sessions, each lasting between 8-10 minutes, showcasing the vehicle's remarkable endurance and charging capabilities.
