Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief designer, has hinted that the highly anticipated brand-new Roadster supercar may make its grand debut in just ‘a few weeks’. Previously, there were whispers in the automotive world suggesting that Tesla might delay the Roadster’s unveiling until August. However, Tesla had earlier indicated that the car would grace the stage in April or May of this year, and now the timeline seems to be pointing towards a late summer debut. Franz, who joined Tesla in 2008 and has been instrumental in designing multiple models, is the mastermind behind Tesla’s iconic design language. Tesla proudly asserts that the brand-new Roadster will ‘redefine the supercar’ landscape. With a blistering 0-60 mph acceleration time of no more than 1.9 seconds, it’s already a force to be reckoned with. And if equipped with the SpaceX thruster package, this acceleration time can be slashed to an astonishing 1.1 seconds, pushing the boundaries of automotive performance. Initially, Tesla promised that the car would enter mass production in 2020. However, as with many ambitious projects, it has faced multiple delays. Despite these setbacks, in recent years, numerous die-hard Tesla fans have eagerly placed a $50,000 deposit for this yet-to-be-mass-produced supercar. A vast number of Tesla enthusiasts and followers are now eagerly counting down the days until they can lay eyes on this dream car.
