Data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicates that in May, the retail sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles stood at 950,000 units. This figure represents a 7.5% decrease compared to the same period last year, while showing a 12.4% increase from the previous month. From January to May, the cumulative retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 3.697 million units, reflecting a 15.1% year-on-year decline. During the same timeframe, retail sales of traditional fuel-powered passenger vehicles amounted to 560,000 units, experiencing a 39% year-on-year decrease and a 5% month-on-month increase.
