Tesla has recently launched strong purchase incentives in the Japanese market, including three years of free Supercharging service, as well as national and local dual subsidies. With these incentives, the actual price of the Model 3 can be reduced to as low as approximately JPY 3.14 million, equivalent to around RMB 134,000. Currently, the starting price for the Model 3 on sale in Japan is JPY 5.313 million (including tax), while the Model Y starts at JPY 5.587 million. The Japanese government provides a uniform subsidy of JPY 1.27 million for clean energy vehicles, with additional local subsidies ranging from JPY 800,000 to JPY 1 million available in regions such as Tokyo.
