She emphasized that the crux of competition within the robotics sector hinges on robust manufacturing prowess, combined software and hardware capabilities, and pointed out that AI technologies pertinent to automobiles share a fundamental similarity with those in robotics. Looking ahead, should humanoid robots successfully penetrate the household market, BYD envisions leveraging its extensive dealer network for sales. Furthermore, Li Ke hinted at the possibility of BYD creating an open platform, which could either facilitate independent robot development or foster collaborative efforts with other enterprises. On June 3, insiders close to BYD confirmed that the company is indeed immersed in the research and development of humanoid robots.
