Saido Technology, a joint venture between Seres and ByteDance, is slated to unveil its inaugural model within this year. Anticipated to be a crossover vehicle, it will feature both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. Production is set to take place at Seres' Phoenix Factory, which is currently undergoing line modifications. The new brand is poised to project a youthful and sporty image, with its official launch penciled in for June. Models from Saido Technology will partner with Volcengine to develop a large-scale in-vehicle interaction model. Meanwhile, the intelligent driving solutions are expected to be supplied by Rongxing AI, instead of adopting Huawei's ADS 3.0 solution. Rongxing AI has forged deep mass-production collaborations with automakers such as Great Wall Motors, Leapmotor, and smart. More than 300,000 vehicles equipped with its urban navigation-assisted driving solutions have already hit the market, spanning over ten models. Founded by Zhou Guang in 2019 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Rongxing AI has successfully completed eight rounds of financing, with a cumulative total exceeding $1 billion. This includes a $300 million strategic investment led by Alibaba in 2021.
