On June 2, the 2026 Industrial Investment Promotion Conference of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone was convened, centered around the theme of “Vehicles Galloping Across the Globe, Materials Empowering the Future”. Luo Zhongliang, Vice President of BYD, remarked at the conference that the strategic decision to invest in Shanwei five years ago had proven to be exceptionally astute. Presently, Phase I of BYD’s Shanwei Industrial Park has achieved full operational capacity, Phase II is progressively ramping up its production output, and Phases III and IV commenced their operations last year. Notably, the second-generation Blade Battery, unveiled in March of this year, is manufactured in Shanwei. Luo further disclosed that BYD has initiated the “Flash Charge China” strategy, aiming to establish a network of 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of the current year.
